On August 19, the Saskatchewan immigration department held a fresh draw. Through two immigration processes, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) welcomed a total of 496 immigration candidates.
Of the 496 Immigration Candidates 161, people may be qualified for the SINP’s Express Entry subcategory, whereas 335 may be eligible for the Occupations In-Demand subcategory.
The Expression of Interest (EOI) score required for each group of candidates differed somewhat.
Candidates with a score of at least 71 were asked to apply for the Express Entry subcategory.
Candidates for Occupations in Demand received a significantly lower cutoff score of 70.
There were various acceptable jobs for each category in this draw.
For Express Entry candidates, there were 43 qualifying occupations in the draw, and 61 for Occupations in Demand candidates.

About Saskatchewan’s Express Entry Sub-category
The improved Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) under the Express Entry sub-category is linked to the federal Express Entry system.
Express Entry is in charge of the applicant pool for three of Canada’s most popular economic immigration programs:
- The Federal Skilled Worker Program,
- The Federal Skilled Trades Program, and
- The Canadian Experience Class.
In order to be eligible for an invitation to submit for a provincial nomination, candidates with Express Entry profiles must additionally construct EOI profiles for Saskatchewan.
Express Entry applicants who earn a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan are given an extra 600 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System.
This award effectively ensures that they will be able to seek permanent residency in Canada.
About the Occupations In-Demand Subcategory
The Occupations In-Demand sub-category is a basic PNP, which means it is available to immigrants without an Express Entry profile.
This sub-category is for highly skilled people with expertise in a Saskatchewan-demanded occupation but has not yet been offered a position in the province.
Foreign people must construct an EOI profile using the SINP’s online application system in order to apply for Canadian immigration through this sub-category.
The EOI system in Saskatchewan allows the province to choose immigrants who have the potential to succeed in the prairie province.
Candidates will be judged on their capacity to settle in Saskatchewan based on their job experience, education, language skills, age, and ties to the province.
How do Saskatchewan’s Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand subcategories differ?
The International Skilled Worker category includes Saskatchewan’s Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand sub-categories.
The eligibility requirement for the two subcategories is nearly identical, with the only variation being the method for applying for permanent residency.
Saskatchewan’s in-demand stream works as a basic provincial nominee program.
This implies that the application is processed outside of the Express Entry system, and applicants are not required to satisfy all of the Express Entry standards.
The Express Entry subcategory, on the other hand, necessitates that candidates satisfy the requirements of one of the Federal Express Entry classes and maintain an active profile in the pool.
Profiles in both sub-categories are scored using Saskatchewan’s unique points assessment grid and must score at least 60 points to be considered for an Expression of Interest.
Applicants who satisfy the minimum draw requirements may be invited to apply for a provincial nomination in Saskatchewan.
496 Immigration Candidates who apply under the Express Entry subcategory may get an extra 600 points on their CRS score if they are accepted.
They will get an Invitation to Apply on their Express Entry profile as a consequence, and their permanent residence application may be eligible for accelerated processing.
Applicants who are asked to apply for permanent residence under the Occupations in Demand stream must submit a non-Express Entry PNP application.
This application, unlike Express Entry, often takes longer to process.
