On August 19, Quebec welcomed 502 immigration candidates to seek permanent residency. The Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (QRSWP) issued invitations through the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI) (QSWP).
Candidates must have submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) through Arrima, Quebec’s online registration site.
An expression of interest (EOI) is a type of pre-application screening process.
It permits Quebec to choose from among individuals who want to immigrate to the province and encourages them to submit an application.
This draw takes place less than a week after Quebec’s largest Arrima draw of the year.
Invitations are sent out in response to the labor market’s demands in Quebec.
Quebec invited individuals with a minimum score of 548 to participate in this draw. Their profession must also be on the targeted occupations list.

This is Quebec’s eighth draw of the year. The province has now extended invitations to 1,562 applicants to apply for permanent selection.
Quebec’s immigration programs are separate from those run by the federal government of Canada.

What is the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (QSWP)?
The QSWP is designed for skilled workers who are more likely to become economically established in the province.
Skilled workers or employees and international graduates are drawn to the program.

2. Profiles are added to the Expressions of Interest pool, where they are rated against one another using a points system and are valid for 12 months.
3. Periodic drawings are held to invite the highest-ranking individuals to apply for a Quebec Certificate of Selection under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program.
4. Candidates that are invited must submit a complete application within 60 days of receiving the invitation.
5. After receiving a nomination certificate (CSQ), approved applicants can apply to the federal government for Canadian permanent residence.
Quebec Expression Of Interest Points System
The Quebec Expression of Interest points system is used to rate profiles sent to the Expression of Interest bank through Arrima, with the highest-ranked profiles being invited to apply for Quebec immigration under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program.
Based on human capital and Quebec labor market variables, candidates and their spouses or common-law partners can earn up to 1,320 points.
